Teaching How to Make Money Online – Credibility First

make_money_onlineIt is true that there exist a lot many avenues for making money online. The problem is in figuring out which ones are the genuine ways and which ones may be right for you. Making Money Online, which was once a niche, is now more of a cliché. Every now and then, at every nook and corner in cyberspace, you would find hoardings and billboards that claim to know the secrets of minting millions of dollars in the cool comfort of your homes. The internet is a consolidation, a microcosm of the world and everything there fits into a window. The result is scepticism and pessimism.

The place where most people go wrong is in finding a niche for themselves. Making money online is not a niche – there are subsets in this vast category that has become trite with false claims and misguidance. The sceptic user who approaches your site with a fair degree of apprehension is more likely to search for your credibility in what you have posted in your site, rather that search for solutions to his problems straight away. If you are running a blog that tells people how to make money, for instance, the first question that a visitor would want to get answered is, how much success have you seen personally?

As is appreciated over time, practising is not just the same as preaching how to practise. If you want to turn into one of the top blogs that people should be looking upon for guidance on making money online, the first step for you is to figure out how that works, instead of telling people how they should go ahead with their business. List down the avenues available for making money online and start testing them out. If Adsense is what you think will work, check that out. If you think Pay Per Click would take you home, experiment with it. If you know how to drive traffic to websites, get the traffic for your own site.

The trick is to Try, Fail, Learn and Demonstrate – the sequence doesn’t go to the ‘Demonstrate’ phase straight away. By trying and failing, you have one more advantage – you know what not to try and what else to try! That in itself is a good idea to tell people – spread the word as to what you tried and failed – that adds value to your blog!

Starting a blog that teaches people how to make money is a good idea – as long as you have your credibility in place, have been in the business for a few years and have substantial online content to show for your works. These would be the prerequisite to becoming an Internet Marketing Guru.
