Spice Up your Blog With Cheeky Content
Even if your blog is not a rage with a cult following, you can turn it into a decent place to visit and stay on for readers with a few tricks that you throw in. As you would appreciate, to create a superstar in blogosphere may not be magic, but it definitely is a touch of art with a lot of luck. There are blogs that are sensational and there are those that make you repent even an accidental visit. But to have people clicking on your space in regular intervals is what you should probably be aiming at, for starters. So, how do you make people get glued to your blog?
Start with a Punch: Do not be unsure and doubtful as you start off your day at blogging. A positive start with a bit of poignant punch that would make readers sit up and take notice is what you would want in the long run. For instance, this piece could well be started with “I know there are people who want to become popular blogging, and I think it is possible to become a star blogger in the long run with some luck and perhaps, more hard work. . . “. Make it straight, simple and t o the point at the outset.
Bring in a dash of Humour: Humour makes people relax, even if it doesnt pay their bills. Readers visit your place looking for something, and whatever that is, they would not want to end up being a sadder lot with melanchony looming over their heads after they have read your post. You would want people to bookmark your site, not black-list it to make sure they never land in it again even by chance! Leave room in your posts for a whip of light vein or spice it up with an anecdote that would wake your reader up from his slumber. When they have had a dose of humour, they would be alert to stimuli that you send out to them, making them hover over your space looking for other fresh content.
Blog Title: Choosing the right Title plays an important role in bringing in fresh visitors to your site. The “How to . . ” tag works well to get people take notice and read through it. “How to become the King of Blogs”, “How to cure migraine”, “How to repair your Laptop”, “How to . . . ” anything with a “How to” tag attracts not only readers but also alerts the search spiders. Of course, you would have to live up to the expectations that you create with attractive “How to” titles.
Blog titles that ask and respond to questions such as “Do you want to score big in GMAT?”, “Do you want to Crack the GRE?”, “Do you want to know the secrets to longevity?”, are effective in making people know that you mean business and they would know what to expect from your post straight away. Being obvious about your intentions and being to the point helps in building a clean reputation and in appearing in search results straight away.
Content, style, humour and title make a heady mix in blogs and you can be sure to hit the bull’s eye.
