Android 2.2 Froyo was released last week in San Francisco during the Google I/O conference.

The application can be downloaded by the android phone users on their mobile phones but for those who are not using an android based phone can try this feature on their computers.

One can download this amazing Android 2.2 froyo SDk from the Android development website. Here are the steps that would help you download and install the applications quickly.
Running Android 2.2 Froyo on Windows/Mac/Linux
In order to run it on your computer you must ensure that you have:
• Java Platform(JDK)
• Powerful RAM at least 1GB
• Min. 2GB Free Space of HD

Here is how you can download

• Go to the website and Download Android SDK

• After extracting the zipped folder go to tools folder in it.

• Now open script named as Android. You will now see a new admin window

• This script when clicked will start SDK manager. Now navigate to the available package which is the option available in the left hand sidebar.

• Check on the link listed there and click on the message and it will begin taking the package information from the repository.

• Extract the zipped folder and navigate to “Tools” folder inside the extracted folder

• Open the script named “Android” from the “Tools” folder

• If you are already having JDK installed on your computer, then you will see new admin windows. If now having JDK on your computer, then go ahead and install that from here. After installation of JDK, go ahead and click “Android” script.

• Android script will start he SDK manager. Go ahead and navigate to “Available Packages” menu in the left sidebar options

• Now you will 4 pictures given and these files represent Android 2.2 froyo OS files. From here go to install checked at the bottom of the window and click it.

• After the files are installed go to the Virtual devices in the left side bar and click “ New”. From here you will add a device to the SDK manager. Go ahead and fill the data as mentioned in the screenshot below.

• After the device it added click on start button. The adding of device may take a lot of time so be prepared.
Finally you are done downloading the android 2.2 on your PC. In order to use android features and applications you will have to get “Eclipse” on your system.
