Gain your Perspective for Blogging with Reader
An age-old saying that solemnly states, that your output is only as good as your input, holds particular relevance to the blogging world. You can’t keep writing in a vacuum, can you? You may be a genius of sorts when it comes to your trade. Still, how long could you possibly stay without upgrading your machinery? How far can you possibly go without updating your skill sets? How much can you possibly write without enriching your knowledge base? It’s never a bad idea to read. And so did God create Google and Google, in turn, created the Reader.
If you haven’t tried out Google Reader yet, this may just be the right time for you to take the plunge and explore. It’s not as if Google may start charging readers for its Reader application anytime soon – it’s not that kind of hurry that you should be concerned about. But having decided to be in the serious business of blogging with intentions to make a few bucks that could add to your sustenance potential (and perhaps add to your luxury factor too, with a bit of luck), Google Reader is a simple tool that could take you places.
The concept in itself is so refreshing that your home page keeps getting refreshed with updates from most websites that you want a part of. If you are interested in sports, you could create a folder where you can get your sports page updates all in one spot. If you are from Geekland, all you need to do is to subscribe to the RSS feeds of your tech sites that you have bookmarked on your desktop, through your Google Reader – and the Reader does the rest.
The advantage that the Google reader would give you is that of broadened perspective of the same news that you may have heard through your own sources. And you can dig into it as much as you want to get the resources out to give you a complete picture. You get into the habit of using your Reader and you are done for the rest of your Blogging Life.
So, here we are, with an invaluable tool that the internet has spawned in blogger’s favour. It’s up to you to extract from it, all its flavour.
