CEO’s are now actively using their blog to communicate with their employees, to their customers and at times with the government too. This is their informal platform to let others know what they are thinking, informs everyone about their thoughts, beliefs, decisions and also helps them to actively involve all their staff to actively participate in the matters of the company.

Whenever a CEO blogs, it helps to add tremendous value to influence his organization. When a CEO asks his employees to provide him suggestions, feedback and ideas on any issue it has a tremendous positive impact on the employee. Employees start developing a sense of belonging with the company and they gain tremendous motivation.

This is also a way by which CEO can share images and videos with all employees about various seminars, meetings or events in which the company participated, which would otherwise not have reached the employees. Thus, any CEO blog is the best forms of transparency which a company can maintain.

In order to have the blog successful and use it as an authentic means of dialogue with his employees, a CEO needs to follow certain guidelines. He needs to share information and ideas which is authentic and not false, as employees usually view such a blog as an authentic source of information. If any CEO promises anything from his blog, he should respect such an announcement as a commitment and stick it to, otherwise his employees shall think that such a blog is mere false advertisement of the company.

The blog of any CEO should be like a two way communication. It should always encourage support and feedback on ideas and issues discussed. Any such blog should invite interactions from its readers and when queries are raised in such a blog, the CEO should courteously answer all such queries.

The blog topics should be chosen in such a way which makes them related to the current topics, news and issues related to the company, however, it still should be made interesting and should make reader curious. This shall make any CEO blog a complete success and help to build a brand image of the company.
