Blogging as a Business Tool
Alright, you have a business that is strictly off line, in the real world. You are in an expansion mode and you would like to see your brand name getting popular. You have done your initial spadework and have gotten to a phase where you can’t wait to move on with your expansion plans. If you are looking at ways that are not too expensive and you are not of the kind that can pour millions on to advertising on conventional media, Blogging may be your cup of tea.
Blogging Helps Business: It is a conundrum that the media companies are trying to set right, where they are in a fix on getting people visit their sites and read their stuff (which is their mainstay in business) but are afraid they just can’t make money giving away news for free. Well, if you are not in the media business, you do not have to worry about such repercussions. You can give it away for free!
People are switching over to living on-line (for a handsome number of youth, dawn and dusk already happen online). Right from streaming media to listening to their favourite music and shopping for stuff in online malls, they find the net their cosy nest. So, why would they look elsewhere for information?
Choose a blog that goes in line with your business. If you are in the business of manufacturing tooth paste and dental care products, try starting a blog that would educate people on oral health and dental shine. You could educate consumers on which treatments they need to take for certain oral problems and which ones could be inexpensive alternatives for the popular ones that take a heavy financial toll. You could, perhaps, list down all the dentists in town and categorise them in your own way that may add value to your readers. And you can do it all for free – after all, you are not in the business of making money blogging, are you?
And even if you choose to make blogging your ancillary source of income, it is perfectly legitimate to be doing so. But the point is, you are creating a brand for yourself with your blogs, with your service that you render by spreading knowledge and sharing information that you have an expert power over. And with more information and tips to readers, you are creating an indelible brand name for your enterprise.
So, when are you starting your blog?
